2010 Birthday Party: Jennifer Friend

Jennifer Friend is a singer/songwriter and we had her a special birthday party! She had to perform for her fans, but not this was not your normal performance!  She was given a special wardrobe, special tasks and challenges to perform in order to receive the gifts her fans had for her and it was an evening FILLED with fun and laughter!

Jennifer just came off tour with Tiffany and Debbie Gibson which included appearances on GMA and The View!

Jennifer is a very talented singer, songwriter, musician and she has a huge talent on the computer producing songs all by herself.

Her best friend wanted to throw a party for her and she wanted an elaborate shindigg that Jen would never forget, so here’s what we did…………..

Because Jen is a singer, we decided to fix up the back yard of a couple that lives in the country as a dinner club with a stage and tables and dinner.  We created tickets to send to the guests and told them to be SURE and bring the tickets with them as they would need them in order to enter the performance.  The tickets each had a different number on them and we tore them in half upon entry and used them to draw numbers so each person that had their ticket drawn was to participate in the nights events and entertainment.

Ok, so we’ve got a dinner club and our performer……………… = ) …… = )

Here’s the ticket we sent to the guests and told them they had to bring it to get in:

This performance will be different than any other performance given by Jen.

The entrance to the outdoor dinner club had an attendant taking the tickets and putting a portion of them in a jar for prize drawings!:

• She was blindfolded and driven to her destination by one of her friends.
• When she got there, she was given a letter explaining to her what was happening.
• The first phase of her performance was to enter the stage and her fans were given the opportunity to watch her being dressed in her performance outfit in “hair & makeup”.

• Next she was given the opportunity to eat a meal, which came from Lahacienda, and mingle with her fans.

Socializing

After she had the opportunity to mingle with her fans and eat, she had to start her performance for the evening!

Her performance consisted of completing tasks given to her!

Some of these tasks included:

• Bouncing on a LARGE yellow ball in a bounce house and not falling off of it for 2 minutes, even with children jumping in the bounce house.
• Bouncing on this same yellow ball in an obstacle course.

• Stacking eggs in paper towel holders on top of one another
• Doing the Hokey Pokey with a guest
• Singing with a guest
• Being blindfolded and putting her hands in a bucket of eyeballs

• Digging through a bowl of macaroni for a clue

• Walking barefoot through a mixture of shaving cream, ice, macaroni, worms, and other squishy items!

She seemed to have a wonderful time and the guests enjoyed the food, entertainment and the fire!

The night was lit up by the fall colors and the entrance/exit!
